Frequently Asked Questions

Your visit to Cedar House may well feel like a luxury camping experience.  While the rooms are small, the property is not.  We have no more than six guests at any one time so you never feel crowded.  If you are looking for a peaceful nature get-away with the beach close by - We are an excellent choice.

Q:  How far is it to the beach?

A:  We are 1km south of Main Street (Main Street Beach), 1/2 this distance to the Grand Bend Marina (&beach).  We are 5km north of the Pinery Park.

Q:  Is there parking for my boat?

A:  Yes, we should be able to accommodate parking for boats up to 24'.  There is a public boat ramp close by.  Call us for details.

Q:  Does the cabin have a bathroom?

A:  Only Cabin #1 has a bathroom.  Cabin #2 & #3 use the outdoor shower and a "fresh water flush" porta john.  We have many return guests for all of our cabins.

Q: What is your check in time?

A:  Check-in is limited to 3pm to 6pm.  We ask that you do not request an exception to this rule.  We keep our rates very low for the area.  We do not hire staff to accommodate late check-ins.  There will be no exceptions for late check-in for the 2007 season.  Your deposit will be forfeited and your cabin will not be available after 7pm.

Q:  Do I need to bring bath towels?

A:  No, we provide bath towels and hot-tub towels.

Q:  Is there a TV or air-conditioning?

A:  No, there is electricity and fans.
